Climate Change Essay by Mac Clevinger, December 13, 2015
I’m aware that we all contribute to the problems our world now faces. The lifestyle lived by North America alone makes our smaller population produce far more issues for the world per person than areas with a much higher population density. Our need for things to be quicker, more efficient, and do more has caused a technological race that has only recently looked behind it to see the trail of ruin that’s sweeping across the world, but despite our seeing the pitfall ahead that will speak ruin for our entire race, we haven’t agreed to hit the brakes.
We haven’t even all agreed that up ahead is a pitfall, preferring a world in which resources are infinite with no side effects from their use. We have leaders in our countries besieged day and night by the oncoming evidence of the effects we’re having on the environment and what is undeniably going to happen if we don’t change our course who still don’t ‘believe’ in climate change. It’s not a religion to subscribe to, your personal ideology and thoughts on the matter do not in any way influence this, only your actions on a tangible and real thing.
