I quite like the idea of computer coding, that of automating a process for yourself that would normally be a tad time-consuming to do yourself, and then the ability to share that with other people with the click of a few buttons as opposed to recreating some incredibly complex real life machine. So, yeah, Coding's neat.
I've only just begun using Visual Basic, but plan to move on to Java with the Computer Science class I'm taking at school, so as that develops so too will the stuff I create. Outside of the course projects, I recall creating the code to a program that automated finding displacement for an object moving at various angles and distances, a job that took me three months to do wrong with a little something called Vizwik and two days to do correctly with Visual Basic. But no hard feelings.
Anyways, Visual Basic doesn't possess any kind of actual .exe file types, or at least googling didn't find me anything, so if you do choose to have a look-see at what I've done you can download the file, open it, make sure Macros are Enabled, and press F11 or that and any combination of Ctrl, Fn, Alt, and Shift, it seems to randomize itself every time I try to do it. Then you'll wanna go to the first or only page and press the triangular 'Play' button to start up the app in a new window. Kinda complicated to say it like that, but it's easier when you've done it a few times, and once I move on from Visual Basic this will all be a moot point, anyways.
So, yeah, Coding! Only good things can come of this, probably. Oh, there're going to be two types of Coding thingies, Presentations and Automated Features. They're fairly self explanatory, and I've got one of each kind to put up, so you'll be able to tell the difference pretty easily upon viewing. One is using programming to explain something better, making use of the coding features more to customize the experience, while Automated Features is where you click a button and a thousand things happen behind the scenes to make something cool happen.
Hope what you see doesn't make you cringe!
