Enjoy! I've been spending a busy weekend actually doing stuff that has left almost no time for writing or doing any other kind of development thing, so it's lucky I could get this kind of a thing out in time for a regular posting. See you tomorrow at eight AM for more, and have yourself a lovely day!
Mother's Day by Mackinley Clevinger
Of all those mothers out there
How do you think they compare
To a being as kind and divine and bright
Why, against my mother, where’s the fight?
I do not suggest to belittle such a figure
And I must ask that you don’t raise the finger
But between you and me, on a hunch?
Who do you really think is the best of the bunch?
But to ask that I stop? I shan’t abate
For after these years of such tender care
To suggest another is greater? I can’t bear
For all that she’s done, does, and will do
I owe it to her, I love her true
But I’m sure that your mother has been fine
And, it’s Mothers Day, why not send her a line?
